Congress senior leader and former MLA T. Jagga Reddy launched a no-holds-barred attack on BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao’s family, accusing them of looting the State treasury and turning Telangana into a personal kingdom of corruption and criminal enterprise.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Mr Jagga Reddy alleged that KCR’s family knew the art of plundering the public exchequer and did so with professional expertise. “They looted boldly, shamelessly and now speak as if they are clean,” he said.

Criticising BRS MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, he ridiculed him as trying to look clean while hiding filth behind.

Getting emotional, Mr. Jagga Reddy said if he had the kind of property Mr. Prabhakar Reddy had he would share it with farmers., “You bought your B-form with a package. I’m not a package leader like you. I didn’t come into politics by purchasing my way in.”

Mr. Jagga Reddy further alleged that 30% of the ₹1 lakh crore spent on the Kaleshwaram project was looted and ₹30,000 crore was swallowed by BRS leaders. “You borrowed crores and looted even from the loans. No one does that, except BRS,” he added.

Mr. Jagga Reddy accused BRS leaders of monopolizing the liquor and sand mafia. “What did KCR leave for Congress to loot? Even lakes have not been spared,” he claimed adding that land grabbing and encroachment were trademarks of the KCR regime.

He recalled the harassment faced by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, saying, “KCR troubled Revanth and me because we exposed their misdeeds.” He defended Mr. Revanth against criticism, saying, “If the police raided your homes the way they did his, how would you feel?”
