Keechery-Akkikavu bypass land acquisition to be completed by August 30

The land acquisition procedures for the development of the Keechery-Akkikavu bypass will be completed by August 30. This was decided in a meeting held at the Collectorate on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Kunnamkulam MLA A.C. Moideen.

The meeting aimed to expedite land acquisition for various development projects in the Kunnamkulam constituency.

The MLA directed that compensation for landowners who have surrendered land for the nearly completed Keechery-Akkikavu bypass be disbursed at the earliest.

It was also decided that the preliminary notification under Section 11 for land acquisition related to the Kunnamkulam junction development project be published before July 15. The gazette notification for the social impact assessment of the Ring Road project will be prepared within two weeks.

For the Kalashamala eco-tourism project, the Tourism department will release funds to the special tahsildar within this month. The acquired land will be handed over to the Revenue and Tourism departments within two months.
