As the murder of a young man in Tirunelveli shocked the community, director Keerthiswaran has explained that the incident was the inspiration for the final line of his film 'Dude'. Pradeep Ranganathan's recent Diwali hit 'Dude' grossed Rs 95 crore within five days of its release, and the makers officially confirmed the film's box office achievement.
At the success ceremony held to mark this achievement, Keerthiswaran directly responded to the debates that arose regarding the film's dialogues.
"This is my first victory stage," says Keerthiswaran
Speaking at the success meet, Keerthiswaran said, “This is a very special moment as this is my first victory podium. I am moved by the way the fans have accepted it. The support of

sir is the basis of this success. Pradeep Ranganathan has registered a hat-trick of success in three films, everything he touches turns into success," he praised.
'Dude' director clarifies on controversial dialogue
Keerthiswaran clarified that there was criticism over some of the dialogues in the film, saying, “Pradeep was instrumental in boldly saying some things. The line about honor killing in the climax may have caused controversy, but it doesn't refer to anyone. The murder of Tirunelveli Kavin left me emotionally traumatized. The verse emerged from that pain. I recorded it as a true sentiment expressing a social bond," he said.
The debutant director thanks cast and crew
'Dude' director also expressed his gratitude to the actors and actresses. “Even if Mamitha recites a scene halfway, she will immediately capture the emotion and act. Sarathkumar sir has been my favorite since childhood; I grew up watching his comedy scenes. Rohini Madam's acceptance of the role of Amma is a great strength for the film. My thanks to everyone who acted and worked on the film," he concluded his speech by expressing his happiness and gratitude.
