Kelvin Joseph was formerly involved in a fatal shooting in Dallas, but he was cleared of the charges

In 2022, a former Dallas Cowboys cornerback was called upon by law enforcement for his alleged involvement in a fatal shooting in Dallas. It was the surveillance footage that gave away his presence at the scene. Joseph was in the car of a suspected gunman. Police cleared him of the charges after concluding that he was not the shooter.

But this one incident ended his career with the Cowboys.

Jerry Jones, the Dallas Cowboys owner, had asked Kelvin Joseph to be a good player, be a guy that everybody could depend on, and make his name in a positive way

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said at the time of his involvement in the fatal shooting, “We obviously don’t need our players to be involved in situations that make this come up about your character. He needs to be a good player on and off the field, and we’re going to give him a chance to do that. Our message to him - now, get in here and be a good player, be a guy everybody depends on, and make your name in a positive way and clean it up.

” Kelvin Joseph was then traded to the Miami Dolphins on August 29, 2023. The Cowboys exchanged Joseph with a former first-round draft choice, Noah Igbinoghene.
