Kerala Cabinet sanctions ₹982 crore for implementing Nava Kerala Sadas projects

The Kerala Cabinet on Wednesday decided to sanction ₹982.01 crore for implementing development projects pitched at the Nava Kerala Sadas. The meeting also approved the guidelines prepared by the State Planning Board for implementing the projects with amendments.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Ministers had toured all 140 Assembly constituencies and interacted with people as part of inviting their recommendations and suggestions for Kerala’s future course of action. The suggestions that emerged from the discussions are being implemented as development projects.

A committee comprising the Chief Secretary, Secretary (PIE&MD), and the District Collector concerned has been authorised to give approval for the development activities on a priority basis. A maximum of ₹7 crore will be allocated in each Assembly constituency, while the announcement regarding Malappuram will be made later.
