Kerala govt. initiates engineers’ bureaucratic reshuffle

The Kerala government on Monday posted Arun S. Nair, Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, as Additional District Magistrate, Sabarimala, after creating an ex-cadre post. The officer will continue to retain his existing charges. Further, on conclusion of the Mandala-Makaravilakku season, the officer will join back as Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

Jeevan Babu K., Managing Director, Kerala Water Authority is transferred and posted as Commissioner for Land Revenue after creating an ex-cadre post for one year. The officer will hold the full additional charges of Commissioner, Disaster Management and State Project Manager, National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project.

The service of Minhaj Alam, Principal Secretary, Forest and Wildlife department is placed at the disposal of Power department for being appointed as Chairman and Managing Director, Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEB). The post of Chairman and Managing Director, KSEB is declared equivalent in status and responsibilities to the cadre post of Principal Secretary to Government. The officer will continue to hold all the existing charges as additional charges.

Dr. A Kowsigan, Secretary, Ports department will hold the full additional charges of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development department and Backward Classes Development department. The officer will continue to hold the additional charges of Special Officer and Collector, Government Land Resumption and Nodal officer to monitor the filing and supervision of all title cases on the landholding by M/s Harrisons Malayalam Limited and other similar cases of companies and individuals.

Puneet Kumar, Resident Commissioner, Kerala House, New Delhi, stands relieved from the additional charges of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development department and Backward Classes Development department.

Anjana M., Additional Secretary-I, General Administration (AIS) department will hold the full additional charge of Project Director, Kerala State Transport Project. John V. Samuel, Director, Coir Development department is transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Local Self Government department.

Anju K.S., Managing Director, Kerala State Backward Classes Development Corporation is transferred and posted as Staff Officer to Chief Secretary. The officer will hold the full additional charge of Managing Director, Kerala State Backward Classes Development Corporation.  Anie Jula Thomas, Officer on Special Duty, Industries department, will hold the full additional charge of Director, Coir Development department.

Vishnuraj P., Director, Industries department will hold the full additional charge of Managing Director, Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation, in addition to the existing additional charges. The service of Rahul Krishna Sharma, Project Director, Kerala State Transport Project is placed at the disposal of Local Self Government department for being appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Smart City Thiruvananthapuram. The post of Chief Executive Officer, Smart City Thiruvananthapuram is declared equivalent in status and responsibilities to the cadre post of Deputy Secretary to Government.

Harshil R Meena, Director, Environment and Climate Change, will hold the full additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT).
