Kerala HC relaxes Vedan’s bail conditions, allows him to travel abroad

The Kerala High Court has eased anticipatory bail conditions of Malayalam rapper Hirandas Murali, also known as Vedan, in a sexual assault case involving a woman doctor, thereby allowing him to travel abroad for stage shows.

The Thrikkakara Police had submitted a final report before the trial court in this case. Taking note of this, the court permitted him to travel abroad, while adhering to conditions. They included that he ought to inform the probe officer of his travel details a week in advance. He must also submit details of his passport, his travel plans, the phone number he would be using while abroad and the places where he would reside.

A week ago, the court had eased his anticipatory bail conditions in another sexual assault case, for him to attend stage shows abroad.
