Kerala mother donates part of her liver to save ailing baby

A mother donated a portion of her liver to save her nine-month old baby. The transplant was successfully performed at Rajagiri Hospital near Aluva, according to a communication.

Aswathi, a native of Anakkulam in Idukki, donated a part of her liver to save Edwin, her son, who was suffering from biliary atresia, a rare and life-threatening liver condition.
