Get ready for 'Khajuraho Dreams', a Malayalam film starring Arjun Ashokan, Sharaf U Dheen, and Sreenath Bhasi, releasing on December 5. The movie chronicles a friends' adventurous road trip from Kerala to the historic Khajuraho temples, promising a humorous and feel-good journey of discovery and mishaps.

The long-awaited Malayalam film 'Khajuraho Dreams', starring Arjun Ashokan, Sharaf U Dheen, Sreenath Bhasi, and Chandhunadh, is finally ready to hit theatres. Announced in 2023, the film has now locked its release date — December 5.

Along with the announcement, the makers also unveiled a vibrant new poster featuring the lead cast.

Journey of friendship and discovery

The makers shared the latest poster from the movie along with the caption, "Sending our heartfelt wishes to the entire team of #KhajuraahoDreams. In cinemas this December 5th."

'Khajuraho Dreams' follows a group of friends who set off on an impulsive road trip from Kerala to the historic village of Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh,.

They pass through Wayanad, Mysore, Hubli, and Nashik. The movie is billed as a humorous, feel-good story of friendship, discovery, and mishaps.The star-studded ensemble includes Aditi Ravi, Dhruvan, and Chandhunadh, alongside Raj Arjun, Johnny Antony, Sohan Seenulal, and Sadiq in pivotal roles. Written by Sethu, the film marks the directorial debut of Manoj Vasudev.

Capturing Khajuraho’s heritage on screen

Earlier, speaking exclusively to TOI city, director Manoj Vasudev shared his excitement about shooting at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Khajuraho temple complex in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district which is a rare feat in Indian cinema.

“Getting permission was extremely difficult,” Manoj revealed. “Since it’s under the Archaeological Department, we faced strict restrictions — no aerial shots or full-scale filming inside the temple complex.

But capturing even a part of its grandeur was thrilling.”

Music, craft, and collaboration

The film’s music is composed by Gopi Sundar, featuring four original tracks that complement the emotional and adventurous tone of the story. Cinematography is handled by Pradeep Nair, while editing is by National Award-winner Lijo Paul.Meanwhile Sharafudheen was last seen in 'The Pet Detective', Arjun Ashokan's previous outing was 'Thalavara' and Sreenath Bhasi will be next seen in 'Pongala'.
