All you need to know about ‘Dear X’
The story of 'Dear X' is built around the fascinatingly complex Baek Ah Jin, brought to life by Kim Yoo Jung. On the surface, she's everything a star should be: a celebrated actress loved by the public for her incredible charm and kind-hearted image. But that's just the version of herself she lets the world see.
In private, Ah Jin is still grappling with the deep scars and trauma of her past. That polished exterior is really a suit of armor, hiding a fiercely ambitious and sometimes manipulative side she uses to protect the life she’s fought so hard to build.
At her side, as always, is her childhood friend Yoon Jun Seo (played by Kim Young Dae). He’s been her rock, the one person who has always been there. But as Ah Jin's hidden truths and desperate choices start to come to light, their bond is strained to a breaking point.
Things get even more complicated with the arrival of Kim Jae Oh (Kim Do Hoon). He develops an unexpected, fierce loyalty to Ah Jin, and his desire to protect her ignites a messy and painful tangle of jealousy and conflict between the three.'Dear X' promises to be a gripping story about ambition, betrayal, and the painful secrets we bury. It skillfully blends the high-stakes emotion of a melodrama with the unsettling mind games of a psychological thriller.
Based on the early buzz, this isn't just another part for Kim Yoo Jung, it’s shaping up to be one of her most demanding and transformative roles yet.
