After a positive start to its opening week, Vijay Deverakonda's spy action thriller 'Kingdom' has been seeing a dip at the box office. Although the film opened with good numbers and carried decent buzz for some days, it lost its momentum as it crossed the Rs 50 crore mark in the second half of its second week.According to trade analyst Sacnilk, 'Kingdom' registered collections of Rs 1 crore on its second Friday, witnessing a 16.67% drop from the previous day. The following day, however, saw a mild boost as the film earned Rs 1.25 crore on Saturday, marking a 25% growth. Sunday’s numbers fell again, with early estimates putting the Day 11 figure at around Rs 95 lakh.With this, the film's total domestic box office collection stands at Rs 50.55 crore, including Rs 47.35 crore from its first week.
The Telugu version has contributed the lion’s share of the revenue with Rs 43.7 crore, while the Tamil version has added Rs 3.65 crore.
Theatre Occupancy
The occupancy rate for the Telugu version on Sunday, August 10, 2025, reflected the overall slowdown. 'Kingdom' recorded an average occupancy of 20.63% across shows in Telugu 2D screenings. Morning shows drew about 14.78% occupancy, which rose to 22.90% in the afternoon and peaked slightly in the evening with 23.61%.
Night shows settled at 21.23%.
About 'Kingdom'
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, 'Kingdom' tells the story of Surya "Suri" played by Vijay Deverakonda, a police constable who undertakes an undercover mission in Sri Lanka to take down a smuggling syndicate and reconnect with his estranged brother. The film features Bhagyashri Borse, Satya Dev, and Ayyappa P Sharma in key roles.Vijay has been praised for his intense performance in the film.The movie will soon clash with two upcoming big entertainers, 'Coolie' and 'War 2', which might further hamper the film's box office run.
