KITS announces exam schedule for KEE, KMAT 2026 sessions

Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (Karunya University) has released the complete schedule for its 2026 entrance exams — the Karunya Entrance Examination (KEE) for BTech admissions and the Karunya Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) for MBA and MCA programmes.

The first phase of both exams will be conducted on January 10 and 11, 2026, in online mode. KEE will be held in two phases while KMAT will take place across five phases.

KEE and KMAT 2026 exam schedule

According to Karunya University, KEE 2026 will be conducted in two phases — Phase 1 on January 10 & 11, 2026, and Phase 2 on April 10 to 12, 2026. KMAT 2026, meant for MBA and MCA aspirants, will be conducted in five phases as follows:

  • Phase 1: January 10 and 11, 2026
  • Phase 2: April 10 to 12, 2026
  • Phase 3: May 9 and 10, 2026
  • Phase 4: June 13 and 14, 2026
  • Phase 5: July 25 and 26, 2026

Both exams will be held online, giving candidates flexibility to take the test from their preferred location.

KEE 2026 exam pattern for BTech admissions

The KEE 2026 exam will have a three-hour duration and will follow a multiple-choice format. Each correct answer carries +3 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. The paper will include:

  • Mathematics/Biology: 35 questions
  • Physics: 25 questions
  • Chemistry: 25 questions
  • English: 25 questions
  • General Aptitude: 10 questions

The structure ensures that both PCM and PCB students can apply, depending on their chosen engineering stream. Candidates must carefully manage time across sections, as accuracy carries significant weight due to negative marking.

KMAT 2026 exam pattern for MBA and MCA admissions

KMAT 2026 will be a 100-mark test covering key management aptitude areas. The distribution of marks is as follows:

  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC): 30 marks
  • Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DLIR): 20 marks
  • Quantitative Ability (QA): 20 marks
  • Indian and Global Business Environment: 30 marks

This structure tests a student’s analytical, numerical, and communication skills alongside awareness of business trends. The university aims to evaluate well-rounded candidates capable of meeting industry expectations.

What students should note

For BTech aspirants, two exam windows mean a chance to improve scores in the second attempt if needed. MBA and MCA candidates have five opportunities throughout 2026, allowing them to align attempts with preparation levels. Students are advised to review last year’s KEE and KMAT question papers and practice online mock tests.
