VIJAYAWADA

KL University has secured 26th rank in the national rankings given by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development to universities that adhere to the highest quality standards, said vice-chancellor Saradhi Varma.

Speaking at a press conference in Vijayawada on Saturday (September 6), he said the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) take into consideration factors like the curriculum, infrastructure, standards such as quality and expertise, research projects, placements and professors holding Ph.D.

He said the institution was ranked 35th in the engineering category and 46th in the overall category. Saying that 6,200 students complete their degrees from the university every year, he said steps had been taken to achieve 100% placements in campus placements in last 17 years.

Dean of the university’s skill development department Srinath, director of admissions Srinivasa Rao and dean of the MHS department Kishore Babu were also present.

Juniper AI-driven Centre of Excellence

The university recently launched Juniper AI-Driven Campus-Centre of Excellence (CoE) on the campus. The institution has established the new facility in collaboration with Juniper Networks, a leader in AI-driven networking to bring enterprise-grade, AI-powered digital infrastructure into an academic ecosystem.

Global head of Juniper Academy Archana Yadav emphasised the importance of AI-driven campuses in redefining digital learning environments. CEO of Eduskills Shubhajeet Jagadev highlighted how industry-academia partnerships are critical to nurturing a future-ready workforce.

KL Juniper AI-Driven Campus is a digital ecosystem where every component — Wi-Fi, wired LAN, WAN, security, and collaboration platforms — is integrated and optimised by Artificial Intelligence. Unlike conventional networking labs, this CoE introduces students to AI-driven network management systems that learn, predict and self-heal, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity and superior security. Students and faculty will directly engage with technologies like Mist AI, cloud-native orchestration tools and enterprise-scale automation frameworks, the same platforms deployed across global digital enterprises.

Chancellor of the institution Koneru Satyanarayana said the new facility would help students gain first-hand exposure to technologies that are shaping industries worldwide.

The partnership will open opportunities for students, including access to Juniper Global Academy certifications, internships with Juniper Networks and Eduskills, and research opportunities in AI-driven networking, IoT and 5G applications.
