KMAT 2026: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has opened the registration window for the Kerala Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2026 Session 1. The entrance examination is conducted for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes offered by universities, departments, autonomous institutions, and affiliated management colleges across Kerala.Eligible candidates can submit their online applications through the official website cee.kerala.gov.in by January 15, 2026 (4:00 PM).

KMAT 2026: Eligibility criteria

Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria set by CEE before applying.Nationality and nativity:Indian and non-Indian candidates are eligible to apply. However, only Keralite candidates are eligible for reservation benefits and fee concessions.Age limit:There is no upper age limit to apply.Educational qualification:Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree of at least three years’ duration in Arts, Science, Engineering, Commerce, Management, or an equivalent discipline.

Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying examination are also eligible, provided their results are declared before the commencement of the MBA admission process. Applicants must meet the minimum marks prescribed by the respective universities or institutions.

Steps to apply for KMAT 2026

Eligible candidates can follow the steps below to complete the KMAT 2026 online application process.

  • Visit the official website cee.kerala.gov.in and click on the KMAT 2026 online application link
  • Complete the one-time registration and generate the application number and password
  • Fill in the online application form carefully and verify all details before final submission
  • Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway
  • Upload the required photograph and signature as per specifications
  • Download and print the application acknowledgement page for future reference

KMAT 2026: Exam pattern

The Computer Based Test will consist of 180 objective-type questions, carrying four marks each, making a total of 720 marks. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.The question paper will cover the following sections:

  1. English Language Usage and Reading Comprehension (50 questions)
  2. Quantitative Aptitude (50 questions)
  3. Data Sufficiency and Logical Reasoning (40 questions)
  4. General Knowledge and Current Affairs (40 questions)

Qualifying marksGeneral category and Socially and Educationally Backward Class candidates must secure at least 10 percent of the total marks (72 marks). Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Persons with Disabilities candidates must secure a minimum of 7.5 percent (54 marks) to be considered eligible for admission.Application fee

  • General and Socially and Educationally Backward Class candidates: ₹1,000
  • SC candidates: ₹500
  • ST candidates: Fee exempted

The fee must be paid online using internet banking, debit card, or credit card.
