KMC general body meeting passes budget

The Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) general body meeting approved the 2026-27 budget and passsed 72 resolutions. This is the last meeting of the current KMC, as the tenure of the elected representatives coming to an end in a few days.

Kurnool Mayor B.Y. Ramaiah and other corporators said that they strove hard for developing the city during their five-year tenure as elected representatives and would continue to extend cooperation for development of the city. On the occasion, Commissioner P. Viswanatha presented mementos to the Mayor, corporators, and family members of the elected representatives who passed away during the five-year tenure.

The 72 resolutions which received approval during the meeting were related to street lighting, vendor zones, trade licences and other items, an official press release said.
