Kodagu University partners with industry to offer job skills training, postgraduate courses

MADIKERI: Kodagu University, established two and a half years ago, is offering a variety of postgraduate courses across its 25 affiliated colleges.Vice-Chancellor Ashok Sangappa Alur told reporters that the university has partnered with national and international institutions to enhance educational experiences through joint studies, training, and seminars.

Oracle, Intel, Infosys, and NEF are collaborating to provide free job skills training, with students receiving 90 hours of training and opportunities for one-month vocational placements. These initiatives aim to improve career prospects, with agreements in place for placements at prestigious industrial institutions.Kodagu University offers 15 courses at the Jnan Cauvery campus in Chikka Aluvara. Additional courses, such as MSc Physics and MBA (TTM), are available at FMKM Cariappa College in Madikeri. Students can apply for postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programmes through the UCMS portal. The university also provides scholarships, hostel facilities, and encourages participation in sports and cultural activities. Registrar Suresh was present during the announcement.
