Higher secondary schools in Kozhikode registered a pass percentage of 80.62 when the results of the Class XII exams (State syllabus) for the 2025-26 academic year were declared on Tuesday (May 26). It is marginally higher than the pass percentage of 79.81 reported last year.
According to the General Education department, 31,252 of the 38,764 students in 175 schools who appeared for the exams became eligible for higher studies. A total of 3,548 students secured ‘A’ plus grades in all subjects. Kozhikode is in the sixth position behind Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam, and Kannur districts.
The schools that scored cent per cent results are Presentation Higher Secondary School, Chevayur, Silver Hills Higher Secondary School, Kozhikode, C.M. Higher Secondary School, Mannur North, Kozhikode, Crescent Higher Secondary School, Vanimel, and Karuna Speech and Hearing High Secondary School, Eranhipalam.
Students who scored full marks are T. Muhammed Roshan (Science), and P.P. Afsina, D. Athira, and A.M. Hadi Rahman (Humanities) from Rahmania Higher Secondary School for the Handicapped, Kozhikode, and S. Vishnupriya and B.S. Dhyan Krishnan of Government Higher Secondary School, Narikuni. Last year, 12 students scored full marks.
In the open school category, 2,270 of the 3,773 students who appeared for the exam became eligible for higher studies. The pass percentage is 60.16. A total of 122 students scored ‘A plus’ in all subjects.
