KPCC’s ‘Faith Protection March’ to tour Thrissur district on October 15

The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) will organise a “Faith Protection” march in Thrissur district on Wednesday (October 15, 2025) in protest against the alleged Sabarimala gold theft and betrayal of devotees.

The march will be led by AICC Working Committee member and MP Kodikkunnil Suresh as captain and KPCC Political Affairs Committee member T.N. Prathapan as vice-captain.

The district-level reception for the march will be held at Chelakkara at 10 a.m., followed by a public meeting that will be inaugurated by All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary P.V. Mohan. At 3:30 p.m., a reception will be accorded at Guruvayur during a meeting inaugurated by AICC general secretary Deepa Dasmunshi near the western entrance of the temple.

By 5 p.m., the march will reach Thrissur town, where it will be welcomed in front of the Paramekkavu temple with traditional percussion ensembles. The procession will then move to the main venue in front of the Corporation office where a grand public meeting will held. The meeting will be presided over by DCC president Joseph Tagett and inaugurated by KPCC working president and MLA A.P. Anil Kumar.
