Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Yagantipalle, under the aegis of Shri Hanumantharaya Educational and Charitable Society, has bagged the “Best Zonal KVK Award” for 2024-25 for the third consecutive year among the 72 KVKs from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The award was constituted by the Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI) Zone X, Hyderabad. The Trophy was given to Dr G. Dhanalakshmi, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, Yagantipalle, at the conclusion ceremony of Zonal KVK Workshop held on Thursday (September, 04, 2025) at VIT, Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
The Trophy was handed over by Dr V. Bharathi Harishankar, Vice Chancellor, Avinashlingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Tamil Nadu in the presence of Dr. Shaik N. Meera, Director, ATARI, zone X, for achieving meritorious certificates in 10 categories out of 13 for standing in first place by KVK, Yagantipalle.
The categories of outstanding performance are seed production, planting material distribution, seed hub of pulses, revolving fund generation, expenditure and receipts, soil health cards, farmers data base, number of extension functionaries trained and number of demonstration units.
