Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda on Friday strongly criticised the Union government for hiking the price of commercial LPG cylinders.
Speaking to the media in Shivamogga, he said the Centre had raised prices immediately after the Assembly elections. “Many hotels have already shut down, unable to bear the rising cost of LPG cylinders. Autorickshaw operators running on auto-LPG have also seen their livelihoods hit. The Union government is acting with complete disregard for such people,” he said.
