At the Manginapudi beach, he instructed police officials not to permit any visitors and later advised fishermen to stay away from the sea during the cyclone.

He directed that cyclone warnings should be announced widely in all villages and people should be made aware. He further instructed officials to ensure proper maintenance of cell towers by keeping power backups, generators, and diesel reserves ready.

On Sunday evening, the District Collector inspected the BSNL and Jio towers in Ramanagaram and Challapalli of Challapalli mandal. Later, he held a meeting with officials at the Challapalli tahsildar’s office to discuss maintenance and preparedness of cell towers in the division.
