KTM 160 Duke launched at Rs 1.85 lakh.

KTM has expanded its streetfighter lineup in India with the launch of a new entry-level 160 Duke, priced at Rs 1.85 lakh, ex-showroom. Bookings for the model are already open through dealerships and KTM’s official website. Deliveries of the 160 Duke are expected to begin soon. Starting with the design, the styling follows KTM’s trademark sharp and aggressive design language, with a muscular fuel tank, angular tank shrouds, split seats, and a minimalist tail section. It is available in three colours: Electronic Orange, Atlantic Blue, and Silver Metallic Matte.In terms of features, the 160 Duke is equipped with LED lighting, Bluetooth connectivity via the

At the heart of the 160 Duke is a 164.2cc single-cylinder,

liquid-cooled motor

derived from the 200 Duke. This motor produces 19 hp at 9,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm, making it the most powerful motorcycle in its class. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with an

assist and slipper clutch

.Speaking of the hardware, the bike shares its underpinnings with the 200 Duke, featuring a steel trellis frame, 43 mm USD forks at the front, and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Stopping power comes from a 320 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS.
