HYDERABAD
Working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) K.T. Rama Rao, has warned those “indulging in misinformation campaign and spreading lies” against him and other leaders of the party in the telephone tapping issue of legal action if they fail to stop their “misadventure”.
In a statement, Mr. Rama Rao said on Saturday that some individuals in the garb of the media are resorting to misinformation campaign, and it amounts to character assassination. A few media organisations have teamed up with such individuals with vested interests, and with political malice against the BRS leadership, are carrying out misinformation campaign. They will face legal action sooner than later, he said.
He stated that such attempts to defame the BRS leadership by spreading vicious views would not have any impact on the BRS leaders, including him. However, such repeated mudslinging amounts to character assassination and has adverse impact on the family members. The campaign being carried out in the garb of media also hurts the well-wishers, party leaders and ranks - and legal action is being planned against such elements, he said.
