Spinner Kuldeep Yadav was released from the India squad which is in Australia, taking part in the ongoing 5-match T20I series against the hosts. This was done so that the player could take part in the the second 4-day match of India A series against South Africa A at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, set to start on November 6. This decision was taken so that Kuldeep could prepare for the upcoming South Africa Test series, scheduled to start from November 14 in Kolkata.

“The Indian team management has requested to release Kuldeep Yadav from the ongoing T20I series in Australia to allow him to participate in the India A series against South Africa A at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The second four-day match starts on 6th November. The decision has been taken to provide Kuldeep with red-ball game time in preparation for the upcoming IDFC First Bank two-match Test series against South Africa,” the BCCI said in a statement.

Kuldeep played in the first two matches in the T20I series against Australia, taking 2 wickets in the 2nd match. The first encounter was called off due to heavy rain.

The India A side have already played a match against the South Africa A with the home team emerging victorious on Sunday, thanks to skipper Rishabh Pant’s glittering central act of 90. India A now leads the two-match series 1-0, and the second match will be played at the BCCI CoE grounds from next Thursday.

The India vs South Africa Test series will begin at Eden on November 14 and go on till November 18. Then the action will shift to Guwahati for the second Test which will start on November 22 and go on till November 26. After the two-Test series, the action will shifts to ODIs with the two teams facing each other in 3 matches.

The first ODI will take place in Ranchi on November 30, followed by the second match at Raipur on December 3. The third and final ODI match will take place on December 6 at Visakhapatnam.

The T20I series will begin in Cuttack on December 9, followed by the second match in New Chandigarh on December 11. The third match is scheduled for December 14 at Dharamsala and the 4th one will take place in Lucknow on December 17. The last and final match of the series will take place in Ahmedabad on December 19.
