Labourer clubbed to death over trivial row

A 29-year-old labourer was allegedly clubbed to death by his friend over a drunken brawl in Doddaballapur on Sunday night .

The deceased Vijay Kumar, from Malur, was working as a daily wage labourer at Jal Jeevan Mission near Nandi Hills, where the accused Pujappa, 35, was also working.

On Sunday the duo got drunk and Vijay Kumar in an inebriated state allegedly started talking ill about Pujappa’s wife. Enraged, Pujappa allegedly picked up a club found nearby and assaulted Vijay Kumar. He sustained severe head injuries and succumbed .

The Doddaballapur rural police have registered a case of murder and taken the accused into custody for further investigation.
