Lalduhoma, Gauhati HC chief justice discuss setting up rights panel in Mizoram

Aizawl: Mizoram chief minister Lalduhoma on Sunday met the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, Justice Ashutosh Kumar, who is on a visit to the state. They discussed several issues, including setting up of the Mizoram State Human Rights Commission, officials said on Monday.During the meeting, the CM expressed his gratitude for the chief justice’s visit to the state and highlighted the progress made by the Mizoram govt in improving judicial infrastructure.He also discussed ongoing efforts related to the establishment of the Mizoram State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) and other important initiatives.Justice Ashutosh Kumar, in response, appreciated the CM for the govt’s commitment towards strengthening the judiciary in Mizoram and commended the significant achievements made in this regard.
