Lamar Jackson is finally back at practice for the Baltimore Ravens. The star quarterback returned on Wednesday after missing two games with a right hamstring injury suffered in the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on September 28.

The Ravens are in trouble at 1-5 this season, and badly need him back. His return is a good sign, but the team has not confirmed yet if he will play this Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

Lamar Jackson’s latest injury update and team reaction

Jackson was seen jogging and throwing light passes during Wednesday’s practice. Reporters from The Athletic and ESPN said he was a limited participant, meaning he did not take full-speed reps. Head coach John Harbaugh refused to reveal anything, saying he has “no shareable injury intelligence.”

ESPN’s Dan Graziano earlier said people close to the situation still believe Jackson might sit out one more game to fully recover. Still, this was his first practice appearance since the injury. Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum said, “He was missed. We’re happy to have him back out there.” Jackson had been playing great before he got hurt, throwing for 869 yards and 10 touchdowns in four games, plus 166 rushing yards.

Ravens offence struggling without Lamar Jackson

The Ravens’ offence has completely stalled without Jackson.

Backup quarterback Cooper Rush has struggled, and the team has been outscored 61-13 in the last two games. Their only win this season came in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens are now tied for their worst start in franchise history. The Bears, meanwhile, have won four straight games and are entering Sunday with huge momentum. If Jackson does not play, the Ravens’ chances look weak. Fans and analysts agree that Baltimore needs Jackson on the field to have any chance of turning the season around. But the team is being very careful because hamstring injuries can get worse if rushed. For now, Lamar Jackson is back, but still not confirmed to play. The Ravens are expected to announce more later this week. All eyes are on Friday’s official injury report.
