The last thing Baltimore Ravens fans want is for their star quarterback, Lamar Jackson, to miss more games in the 2025 season. The stakes are too high. After battling back from a hamstring injury, Jackson’s cautionary words still echo, reminding everyone how fragile a season can be.

“You don’t want to rush a hamstring injury and make it worse,” Jackson explained in late October. “And then you’re out for the whole season, you know? This was my first time having it, and I thought I was able to move sometimes, and it’d still feel like a tug in parts early on when I was rehabbing and stuff like that. I didn’t want to end my season or end my career on a hamstring injury.” Now, anticipation builds for Sunday’s Week 11 showdown with the Cleveland Browns, as fans cross their fingers for his return.

Jackson missed Wednesday's practice but there is a glimmer of optimism from head coach John Harbaugh, who reassured everyone that Jackson’s knee soreness is not related to his previous hamstring issue. That hint alone has fans daring to believe he will suit up against the Browns. “He’ll be listed as a knee,” Harbaugh said. “It’s not the hamstring. Nothing there. Some soreness coming out of the game. Should be okay. We look forward to practice tomorrow.”

Tyler Huntley may step in for Lamar Jackson to play against former team Cleveland Browns

The Browns are starving for a victory, desperate to turn around a season marked by just two wins and seven losses. Meanwhile, the Ravens are fiercely guarding their hard-earned three-game winning streak, unwilling to let anything slip through their fingers. With Jackson missing his seventh practice this season, Baltimore may have to turn to seasoned quarterback Tyler Huntley on Sunday. “Of course, you want (Jackson) out there, but at the same time, we have lot of confidence in Tyler Huntley,” Baltimore’s fullback Patrick Ricard said via ESPN.

“We’d love Lamar to be out there every day, but we understand that’s just not the case right now. We’ll see him when he’s back.” Huntley is no stranger to the Browns, having spent time on their practice squad earlier this year and in 2024, but his heart has always belonged to Baltimore. After a brief departure in 2023, he found his way back to the Ravens in 2025. Over six seasons, Huntley has tallied 12 touchdowns, thrown for 3,040 yards on 512 attempts, and started 15 of his 27 games.More coverage on Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley:“Don’t want to rush hamstring injury”: Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson addresses media before TNF matchup against Miami DolphinsCleveland Browns sign 6th QB Tyler Huntley amidst growing QB competition“They look identical”: The uncanny resemblance between Lamar Jackson and Samuel L.
