Diwali Laxmi Puja 2025: Puja Vidhi

1. Take a holy bath after rising early and wear clean clothes.2. People dress in new ethnic and traditional attire in the evening.3. Place the idols of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi in accordance with Puja Muhurat.

4. During Lakshmi puja, light a diya with desi ghee, chant the Ganesha Mantra, and apply tilak to Lord Ganesha's forehead in order to ask him to come and remove all impediments. Present Lord Ganesha with fragrance, flowers, dhoop, Janeu, durva and sweets (naivedya).5. Fill a Kalash with water and present Lord Ganesha with a durva.6. Some even draw tiny footprints to mark the entry of Goddess Lakshmi.7. Light one large clay diya with mustard oil, which must be kept lighted all night long.

You should also light five clay diyas with desi ghee and another little 26 diyas with mustard oil.8. Next, begin Lakshmi puja, put roli and rice tilak on the goddess' forehead, and present her with flowers, dhoop, and fragrance. Pray to Lord Vishnu to accompany Goddess Lakshmi and present her with dry whole turmeric, cash, silver coins, supari, and lotus flower seeds.9. Ask Lord Kuber to accompany Goddess Lakshmi and bestow prosperity and wealth to the followers.10. Maa Lakshmi Mantras must be chanted 108 times.11. On this holy day, at least one family member observes a fast and breaks it after performing Laxmi Puja.12. Both inside and outside the home, people light diyas. For Goddess Lakshmi, keep the big diya burning all night long. 13. Get blessings from the family's elders and celebrate environmentally conscious Diwali.
