LeBron James not only wins hearts on-court but also off-court. His services towards the community in Akron, Ohio has been commendable. On November 13, the students of I Promise School, an initiative by the legend, celebrated World Kindness Day.
Each student talked about what kindness meant to them. LeBron James shared the reel on his story. While it was a silent tribute from the NBA legend, the students said it all. The responses by the students reflected on the success of the program in general.The LeBron James Family Foundation has invested its time, resources and attention towards the education of the kids in that area. The foundation launched the I Promise program to serve around 1400 students with various kinds of support and mentorship required to achieve success both in school and beyond.
The program was launched in partnership with the Akron Public Schools. This collaboration ensured smooth functioning and rapid results from the initiative.
LeBron James celebrates World Kindness Day with students from I Promise School initiative
LeBron James has won hearts again and again, both on-court and off-court. Recently, the athlete shared a reel on his story. It was a clip of the students who were the first-hand receivers of the I Promise School initiative by the LeBron James Family Foundation.
The Video kicked off with a caption, “Celebrating World Kindness Day at IPS.” Immediately after, it featured a kid defining what kindness meant to her. The child stated, “It means happiness and being respectful to others.

Students could be seen having a good time and the environment looked friendly throughout the clip. The next student that appeared added to the definition of kindness. He commented, “Support others and being nice.”
What followed was the visual of three kids, with hands across each other’s shoulders, climbing the stairs. Towards the end, a kid appears who concludes the definition by adding, “It means being respectful and help everybody and be kind.
”It seems like the students are learning about the nuances of life through his program. The very inculcation of values and morals within the kids reflects on the success of this program. The I Promise School initiative was launched in July of 2018. The LeBron James Family Foundation partnered with Akron Public Schools for this initiative.
