LeBron James connects with son Bronny for a historic alley-oop as the duo shine in the playoffs, with Bronny scoring his first postseason points in style.

History has officially arrived, and it’s wearing purple and gold.

Back on April 18, LeBron and Bronny became the first father-son duo to share the court in NBA postseason history.

But tonight, at the Toyota Center on Friday night, LeBron James and Bronny James delivered a moment the NBA had never seen before.

Midway through the second quarter of Game 3 in the Lakers’ first-round series against the Houston Rockets, everything clicked.

After a defensive stop, LeBron grabbed the rebound and took off in transition. Bronny sprinted down the right lane, timing his run perfectly.

Then came the history-making moment.

LeBron spotted his son, floated a perfect lob, and Bronny rose up to finish a slick reverse alley-oop layup.

A father-to-son connection was established on court — the first-ever in NBA Playoffs history — as Bronny pointed back at LeBron on the way down.

Earlier, Bronny had scored his first career playoff points in some confident fashion — sinking a confident pull-up three, and then following it up with the transition layup (assisted by LeBron).

Bronny finished the half with 5 points on 100% shooting, making every touch count.

While even at 41, LeBron continues to dictate the game. He closed the first half with 16 points and 4 assists, as the Lakers look to stave off a Durant-less Rockets and take a 3-0 lead.
