‘Lenin’ release date: Nagarjuna pushes film to July 10; promises audiences a completely new avatar of Akhil Akkineni

Akhil Akkineni will next be seen in the upcoming village action-romance drama ‘Lenin’, pairing opposite Bhagyashri Borse. After the film was pushed ahead for a June 26 release, Tollywood veteran Nagarjuna has officially announced that they have once again postponed its release.

New release dateActor and producer Nagarjuna Akkineni took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to share that the makers requested a couple more days to “create something special.” Understanding their appeal, he shared that the film will be released on July 10, 2026.

What did Nagarjuna write?

He wrote, “Team Lenin came to me with a request. They asked for a little more time to give their absolute 100% and create something very special. Their passion and spirit made me say yes.

Our guy is arriving on July 10. I say it again, you will see a new Akhil!! Get ready for the Lenin experience.”

It is suggested that the makers are currently busy with the final stages of post-production. The visual effects work and editing process are still underway. The team reportedly wanted additional time to complete the work without rushing. Because of this, the release has been pushed forward by a few weeks. The makers are aiming to deliver the film in the best possible way.

About ‘Lenin’

Speaking about the film, ‘Lenin’ is set to revolve around family conflicts, power struggles and emotional relationships. Interestingly, actress Sreeleela was originally part of the project. She even appeared in an early glimpse released by the makers. However, she later exited the film due to reported scheduling issues, and Bhagyashri Borse joined the cast.The film was first planned for release on May 1, 2026. It was later moved to June 26 before finally settling on July 10. Akhil Akkineni was last seen in 'Agent', which did not perform well at the box office.
