Lil Nas X to stay in jail until Monday after arrest and hospitalisation over suspected overdose

Lil Nas X will spend the weekend behind bars after being arrested early Thursday morning for allegedly attacking a police officer. According to police reports, the rapper was seen wandering the streets of Studio City in just his underwear and apparently delirious.Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Hill, will be locked up until Monday, according to the LAPD, who cite "charge 69 (a) PC," a penal code for resisting or obstructing an officer. In an email, the LAPD stated that "The arrestee (Hill) cannot be cited out. It is mandatory that he appear before a judge before he is released. This will happen on Monday.”Lil Nas X is being held at Van Nuys' Valley Jail. His current state is unknown.TMZ first released footage of Lil Nas X walking down a nearly vacant Ventura Boulevard in the early hours of Thursday morning, wearing only his underwear and a pair of white cowboy boots.The LAPD told THR yesterday that Lil Nas X had "charged at officers and was taken into custody."“He was transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose and placed under arrest for battery on a police officer,” the LAPD stated.Throughout 2025, Lil Nas X, has been dealing with health problems.

He posted an update on social media back in April, stating that he had experienced partial facial paralysis. He was forced to postpone a headline performance at West Hollywood's Outloud Pride music festival a month later. He withdrew from the event due to a similar mental health issue.The festival said in a statement at the time of the cancellation that "we've been in close contact with Lil Nas X and his team regarding an ongoing medical issue."THR reports that the rapper told fans in a statement at the time, "After my recent hospital visit, I—like all of you should—must prioritize my health and focus on getting back to 100%."
