Busy Liverpool
Liverpool have been remarkably active in the ongoing transfer window to strengthen their lineup for the upcoming season with the signings of Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, and Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Arne Slot and his team shattered the British transfer record by bringing in German star Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for a staggering £135m, after completing the signing of Frimpong from the same club a couple of weeks earlier in their bid to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has moved to Real Madrid.
Liverpool also acquired Armin Pecsi from Puskas Akademia and Freddie Woodman on a free transfer from Preston North End.
Real Madrid went trophyless in Carlo Ancelotti’s final season as the manager of Los Blancos and will aim to rectify that under new boss Xabi Alonso in his debut season at the Capital City club.
