Liverpool In The Race For Isak! Reds Preparing Record-Bid For Newcastle Striker: Report

Liverpool have spent over £210 million this summer and have now reportedly approached Newcastle, offering around £120 million for Isak.

Liverpool is now prioritizing the signing of a top-tier striker, with Alexander Isak reportedly high on a three-man shortlist.

The Reds have already invested over £210 million this summer, including a club-record £116 million to bring in Florian Wirtz and £40 million for Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool have made a formal approach to Newcastle United in pursuit of Isak. While an official bid is yet to be submitted, the Merseyside club have informed the Magpies they are willing to negotiate a deal in the region of £120 million.

The Sweden international, formerly of Real Sociedad, was one of the Premier League’s standout forwards last season.

The Swedish international scored 21 goals in 30 league appearances, placing him among the top scorers in the competition.

His goals played a crucial role in Newcastle’s Carabao Cup triumph over Liverpool and their qualification for the Champions League.

Manager Arne Slot is looking to further strengthen his Premier League-winning squad, especially with patience reportedly wearing thin on Darwin Nunez, who has failed to meet expectations since his £85 million move. The Uruguayan forward is now expected to leave Anfield this summer.

Both Napoli and Al Hilal are said to be monitoring Nunez’s situation, according to earlier reports by The Athletic.

For Liverpool, Victor Osimhen also remains a serious target. Napoli are open to selling the Nigerian striker and recently turned down a €75 million (£65 million) bid from Galatasaray due to concerns over the payment terms.

Federico Chiesa is another name linked with Liverpool, with Juventus willing to sell if a suitable offer is received.
