Lorry driver, cleaner die in road accident in Eluru district

Two persons were killed in a road accident near Bayyannagudem village, Koyyalagudem mandal in Eluru district on Sunday (August 17).

The deceased were identified as lorry driver Rajesh Kumar and cleaner Lakshman. The accident occurred when a lorry hit a coconut-laden lorry, from behind.

The coconut stocks were being transported from Palakol in West Godavari district to Hyderabad. Police registered a case and took up investigation.

The two bodies were shifted to the Government Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
