NEW DELHI: Lucknow Super Giants, one of the newest teams in the league, opened their Indian Premier League 2026 campaign against Delhi Capitals on April 1, Wednesday. After starting their campaign at home at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, the Lucknow-based franchise will travel to Hyderabad and Kolkata for their next two games against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively.The Rishabh Pant-led side had a dismal outing last year in IPL 2025, as they failed to make the playoffs, finishing seventh with 12 points. It was the second consecutive season outside the playoffs for LSG, after finishing third in each of their first two seasons. They will be looking for a much better campaign this time around with a reinforced squad.This season, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the complete IPL 2026 schedule in two phases as it awaited the announcement of election dates in various states.
