Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic insists there’s no major concern over an apparent leg issue that surfaced late in Tuesday night’s 119-109 season-opening loss to the Golden State Warriors.

The Slovenian guard was seen repeatedly clutching at his inner right leg near the groin during the closing stages, sparking fears of a potential injury setback.

But Doncic quickly brushed off any alarm.

“It’s probably nothing," Doncic said post-game. “Just felt it a little bit because my hip went the opposite way. Felt it a little bit, but it’s probably nothing."

Despite the discomfort, Doncic delivered a massive performance — 43 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists in a game-high 41 minutes, nearly dragging a LeBron-less Lakers squad to a comeback.

The Lakers were without four-time MVP LeBron James, who continues to deal with sciatica. They’ll look to regroup when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.

Doncic, 26, joined Los Angeles in a blockbuster trade from the Dallas Mavericks in February before signing a three-year, $165 million extension in August.

The five-time All-Star now carries a career average of 28.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.2 assists across 451 NBA games.
