A total of 168 beneficiaries availed themselves of different services during the outreach initiative at Lungsen on Monday
Aizawl: The second edition of the “I Kawtkaiah Sawrkar” (Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore) or “Govt at Your Doorstep” programme was organised at the Lungsen BDO Complex on Monday for residents of Lungsen and nearby villages in south Mizoram’s Lunglei district.The outreach initiative, spearheaded by the Lunglei district deputy commissioner’s office, aims to bring various govt services and welfare schemes closer to rural citizens. During the event, several govt departments and agencies — including the deputy commissioner’s office, block development office (BDO) Lungsen, public health engineering, power & electricity, health & family welfare, agriculture, and horticulture departments, along with local banks — set up service stalls to assist the public.Residents were able to conveniently access multiple services such as Aadhaar enrolment and correction, issuance and updating of MGNREGS job cards, opening of new bank accounts, and obtaining income, tribal, and residential certificates. Awareness and registration drives for various govt schemes and health assessments were also conducted.A total of 168 beneficiaries availed themselves of different services during the day, marking a significant step towards improving accessibility and ensuring efficient delivery of govt benefits at the grassroots level.
