BHOPAL: It has been a distressing Diwali for the family of Hemant Soni, a software engineer from Niwari, as he went missing after an accidental fall into the River Ganga at Rishikesh on Oct 16.
Divers attempting to rescue him are finding it difficult due to strong water currents. from Prithvipur on Tuesday evening that there has been no trace of his missing nephew.“Our family members are also in Rishikesh, but we have yet to find him,” he said.Around 9 pm, Hemant and a few others went to the Bajrang Setu bridge near Lakshman Jhula. The bridge was still under construction and had no security guard present. While taking a phone call, Hemant walked a little further along the bridge. Moments later, those with him suddenly heard the sound of someone falling.
