A preliminary 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan on Saturday evening, according to initial seismic reports. The quake occurred at 7:04 pm IST at a depth of 191 kilometres, with tremors felt across parts of Pakistan and northwest India. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
