Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud claimed that BJP MP Eatala Rajender had recently met BRS leader Harish Rao at a farmhouse to have a phone conversation with BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao after notices were issued over the Kaleshwaram fiasco, implying a rekindling of their past association.

“This proves how quickly old political bonds are revived when faced with a common threat,” he said at a press conference here on Friday. He alleged that the covert political alliance between BRS and BJP is now increasingly visible. “The comments made by BRS MLC K. Kavitha and BJP MLA Raja Singh expose a secret understanding between the two parties.”

Questioning the silence of BJP leaders, Mr. Goud challenged Union Minister Kishan Reddy to respond to the controversial remarks made by Mr. Raja Singh. “Does Mr. Kishan Reddy have the courage to speak on Mr. Raja Singh’s statements?” he asked.

Mr. Goud also described BRS as a “sinking ship” and alleged that a fierce internal power struggle has erupted within KCR’s family over control of BRS’ remaining influence and resources.

“A fight has begun within KCR’s family over money and power,” he added, and hinted that the recent ‘leak’ of Ms. Kavitha’s letter might have been orchestrated by her or other members of KCR’s own family.

He also condemned the BJP for its attacks on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said that the BJP’s constant criticism only reflected their low-level politics.
