Bidar: Kannada television artiste Siddharth Parsunoor, 36, best known for his appearances in comedy reality shows ‘Maja Bharatha’ and ‘Comedy Kiladigalu’, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a forest area along Honnakuni Road in Humnabad taluk on Monday.Siddharth, a resident of Teachers Colony in Humnabad, was the son of Mallappa Parsunoor and Kasturibai Parsunoor. His mother is a former president of the Humnabad City Municipal Council.According to Humnabad police, Siddharth had left home with friends on June 13 but did not return. After waiting for three days, his family approached the Humnabad police station on Monday morning to file a missing person complaint.During the search operation, police tracked his mobile phone location and recovered his body from a forested area off Honnakuni Road. The body has been shifted to BRIMS Hospital mortuary, and the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained.Siddharth had long aspired to become an actor and got his breakthrough with the comedy reality show ‘Maja Bharatha’. He later worked as a television technician and played supporting roles in the serial ‘Brahmagantu’ and several films.
He was also a familiar face in comedy programmes and regularly entertained audiences through his social media content.Family members have expressed suspicion over the circumstances surrounding his death and alleged that it could be a case of murder. The spot where the body was found reportedly has a high-tension power line overhead, and preliminary observations suggest Siddharth may have died due to electrocution.Humnabad police have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of death and the circumstances leading to the incident.
