A significant development has emerged in the case of a foreign woman found dead near IMT Chowk in Manesar, Gurugram. The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Nasima Madina, believed to be from Uganda, police confirmed.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Manesar revealed in a telephonic conversation that the foreign woman was hit by an unknown vehicle which fled the scene. The accused driver has now been rounded up by the police.
Authorities are investigating how the woman reached the location and why she was found in a semi-naked condition. The possibility of sexual assault is yet to be confirmed; the post-mortem report will reveal whether the victim was raped.
The incident initially came to light when Gurugram police received a call around 6 am on Sunday reporting the seminude body of a foreign woman lying bloodied beneath the IMT Chowk flyover on the Delhi-Jaipur highway.
The woman’s upper body was minimally clothed while the lower body was completely unclothed, raising suspicion of sexual assault before the murder. Police are scanning CCTV footage from the nearby area to ascertain if she was pushed from a moving vehicle or thrown off the flyover.
A forensic team was involved, and the body was sent for a detailed post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Police are currently probing all angles, including how she reached the spot and the circumstances leading to the incident.
Further investigation is ongoing, with police focusing on identifying any accomplices and establishing the complete chain of events.
