Ghaziabad: A major fire incident was averted on Wednesday afternoon after firefighters swiftly brought a blaze under control at a furniture and incense-stick packaging shop in Garima Garden.According to officials, the fire department received information through the control room around 1.20pm about a fire at plot number 66, street number 2, Ashok Vatika, Garima Garden. Shop owner Tanveer was present at the premises when the fire broke out.
The extent of property damage is being assessed, officials said.Preliminary findings indicate that a short circuit may have caused the fire.
