The trades can turn teams on their heads and bring an end to eras within a short amount of time. In one of the bold moves this past summer, the Denver Nuggets traded forward Michael Porter Jr.
to the Brooklyn Nets who gave a forward Cameron Johnson to them and showed the alteration of roster targeted chiefly around the star Nikola Jokic. As much of a business decision as choosing the trade was to make the Nuggets lineup more balanced and deep.

During those bittersweet farewells, Porter talked about his goodbye conversations on the "Glory Daze" podcast. He mentioned to the hosts how hard it was to leave his longtime teammates, particularly Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon, whom he considers his "family."
"It was tough saying goodbye to my teammates," Porter admitted on the podcast. "They just all kind of texted in the group chat." He laughed as he recounted the messages, noting that while most were emotional, Jokic stood out for its unconventional tone.The highlight of Porter's story was Jokic's text, sent directly to him in the team's group chat: "Make sure you wear a condom out there." Porter relayed this verbatim on the podcast, chuckling as he explained, "The only thing Nikola said was wrap it up out there, and that’s all he said.
He said, ‘Make sure you wear condom out there, MPJ.’ That was his message; that was his goodbye to me."

Social media was filled with all sorts of reaction when Michael Porter Jr. shared what Nikola Jokic said to him. One such comment was “Y’all gonna laugh, but the player who really needs to hear this is Ant”. While another one said, “stop giving this ni**a a mic bro is a liability on defense and in front of a camera 😭” hinting that he can reveal even more raw messages.
There were some other users too that defended Nikola Jokica and said, “He gave MPJ solid advice.
