Mamata Banerjee meets injured BJP MP Khagen Murmu after assault in north Bengal

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday visited BJP MP Khagen Murmu at a private hospital in Siliguri. Murmu, the MP from Maldaha Uttar, is currently undergoing treatment after being assaulted during a visit to flood and landslide-hit areas in Nagarkata in north Bengal.

Television footage captured Mamamta Banerjee entering the hospital to check on Murmu’s condition. The visit comes amid ongoing tensions between the TMC and BJP in the state.
