Man beheads sister-in-law, walks with severed head in Bengal

A man beheaded his sister-in-law and walked down the road holding her severed head in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.

The accused, Bimal Mandal, allegedly killed his sister-in-law, Sati Mandal, using a sharp weapon following a dispute on Sunday morning. According to the police, the murder appears to be a result of a family conflict.

Eyewitnesses were left stunned as Bimal walked through the streets with the severed head in one hand and the murder weapon in the other. Upon receiving information, police rushed to the scene and arrested him.

During interrogation, Bimal claimed he was on his way to the police station to surrender with the severed head and the weapon.

Police have taken him into custody and further investigation is underway.
