HYDERABAD: Madhapur cops registered a case on Thursday after a group of men allegedly barged into a fertility clinic in Madhapur, damaged property, and threatened the staff. According to the First Information Report (FIR), the main suspect is the husband of a patient who underwent a diagnostic hysteroscopy at the clinic on June 14.
Police stated that he became irate upon learning that his medical insurance provider might not reimburse the procedure and pressured the clinic to alter the discharge summary to facilitate the claim.
When the clinic staff refused, he allegedly tore documents and issued threats. On the night of June 17, he returned to the clinic with several associates, broke a lock, and filmed unauthorised videos inside sterile areas without wearing protective gear. These actions, according to the fertility centre's director, compromised the clinical environment, requiringdisinfection procedures.
