Man found dead in Cavelossim well

Colva: Police have recovered the body of a 64-year-old man, identified as Teofilo Cardozo, from a well at Cavelossim on Thursday.Police said Cardozo’s body was found in a well near his residence and retrieved it with the help of locals.The police have registered a case of unnatural death. However, residents have expressed suspicion of possible foul play in the death.Investigating officer PSI Varshada Naik Dessai said a forensic team was called to the scene for examination. The team inspected and collected samples. The body was then sent for postmortem examination. Police said the cause of death will be determined only after the autopsy report is received. Further investigation is under way.
